Sulyap Boutique Hotel + Gallery Cafe and Restaurant: A Taste Of The Past

Set in a two-hectare lot in the City of Seven Lakes, Sulyap Gallery Cafe, Boutique Hotels and Restaurant re-imagines the Filipino cultural heritage through traditional Filipino Cuisine and historical architectures. Sulyap Boutique Hotel is known for its colonial era hotel architectures. It has 4 Casa; Casa Obando, Casa Alitagtag, Casa Del Remedio, and Casa San Juan that will surely give you a glimpse of the past with its classical design of capiz shell windows, hardwood flooring, wooden furnitures, among many others.

We stayed at Casa Alitagtag for 2 nights. The bed was comfy and the room was large enough to accommodate 4-6 persons.

The hotel provides the best in services and amenities. You can enjoy on-site features like 24-hour room service, free Wi-Fi in all rooms, TV, Wi-Fi in public areas and in all rooms!

Casa Alitagtag has a wonderful veranda where you can hung out in the evening with your friends or family.

Gallery Cafe and Restaurant

Sulyap’s main attraction is its famous gallery cafe and restaurant which offers traditional Filipino Cuisine and beverages. Its most popular food include San Pablo City’s native and traditional dishes “kulawo” which is made out of either eggplant or puso ng saging and pinayti which is made out of micro-shrimps from Lake Palakpakin cooked in coconut milk.

Just across the cafe and restaurant is the elegant Sulyap Museum which is divided in four sections, houses hundreds of antique collections from wooden furnitures, ceramics, to religious artifacts.

Sulyap also offers guests a free tour of their museum that guarantees a full glimpse of a lived experience during the colonial era through the antique objects displayed all throughout the museum building.

During your stay, you enjoy a cool dip in Sulyap’s swimming pool situated at the end of the lot’s vibrant garden.The hotel’s outdoor pool, garden are ideal places to relax and unwind after a busy day. Sulyap has also a grand function hall which shares the same classical vibe and design. Different sorts of events, from weddings to parties, can be organized inside the hall.
